War Child empowers children and young people in conflict affected areas by providing psychosocial support, stimulating education, and protecting children from the horrors of war.

Concept

War Child made the fear of children growing up in conflict-affected areas tangible with a high impact that is running on TV channels in various European countries. To make the fear in war zones tangible, we focused on a fear that every Dutch child can relate to: the fear of monsters at night; the ones under the bed, in the cupboard and behind the curtains. We mirrored this innocent fear against the real fear of ‘’monsters’’ – the people who commit horrific crimes - which children experience in the areas where we work.

The campaign was conducted via TV, (sponsored and paid) social media, web (War Child’s homepage), Direct (e-)mail, (sponsored) print, radio and DOOH.
